CLARE BROWNLOW
(PHEASANT FEATHER ART)
Rebrand | Web Redesign
Clare Brownlow is a UK-based wildlife artist best known for her bold ink paintings created using pheasant feathers. Her work captures the energy and spirit of wildlife and is available as originals, prints, commissions and collaborative projects, collected internationally.
Clare reached out looking for a brand touch-up and website redesign — she was ready to elevate her business to a more premium, considered look and feel. With a large product range, multiple fulfilment methods and specific requirements, this was also a fairly complex e-commerce project, including a full website migration from WordPress.
We began with the visual identity, which had started to feel dated and no longer reflected the quality of Clare’s artwork. We focused first on the logo, keeping her hand-drawn signature while redesigning the full logo suite. From there, we refined the font system. Clare was already using a clean, minimal sans serif for body copy, so I introduced an elegant, modern serif to bring a more refined and premium feel to headings.
The colour palette was kept very pared back and understated, allowing her vibrant artwork to take centre stage.
For the website, I designed spacious layouts with plenty of white space, subtle divider lines, and introduced advanced custom code features — including a side menu and sliding logo marquee — to enhance the overall browsing experience and give the site a more elevated feel. I also redesigned the brochure featured on her Gallery page.
Overall, this was a wonderful project to work on. Clare is a joy to collaborate with, and we’re both delighted with the final outcome – an elegant, premium, and flawlessly functional website.
